The Canadian President isn’t scared to tackle tough issues, even when he’s meant to be relaxing.
As the U.S climate change stance crumbles day on day, Justin Trudeau continues to fly the flag for environmental activism.
The young Canadian Prime Minister is the antithesis of what Trump and his party represent, and this was highlighted during a pit-stop when he was kayaking in Ontario.
The incident happened just days after the Paris agreement was exited by Trump, perhaps the issues were still playing on Trudeau’s mind.
He kayaked right up to a family on the shore of Niagra-on-the-Lake and begin talking to the family about climate change.
The event was tweeted by the family’s daughter, where it received much media attention. Trudeau said after the conversation “The future is still bright for those who have the courage to confront hard truths, and the confidence to stay the course,” he went on “Canada will not back down from its commitment to fight climate change – and we are not alone. Around the world, nearly every country is on our side. Inaction is not an option. We can’t walk away from the reality of climate change.”
